Additional COVID-19 patients given all-clear in Quang Nam

VOV.VN - A further seven novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients who received treatment in the central province of Quang Nam were declared to be all clear of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on September 1.

As a result of their recovery, five of the patients were successfully discharged from the Quang Nam Central General Hospital, while the other two patients made a full recovery whilst receiving treatment at the Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.

Following their discharge, each of the patients will have to undergo a period of home quarantine for a further 14 days in line with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

The news of the latest recoveries means that a total of 29 COVID-19 patients in Quang Nam have gone on to make a full recovery from the virus.

Furthermore, the Quang Nam provincial health sector conducted over 88,667 test samples from July 25 to August 31, successfully detecting 96 positive cases of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the process, whilst also recording over 88,121 negative cases. At present, local authorities are waiting to receive back the results of approximately 450 samples.

Most notably, the province has now gone through 12 consecutive days of no fresh COVID-19 cases.
