Additional 13 COVID-19 patients receive discharge from hospital

VOV.VN - A group of 13 COVID-19 patients in the central province of Quang Nam were announced to have received the all-clear following tests conducted on September 4.

Each patient has tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus several times, according to Mai Van Muoi, deputy director of Quang Nam’s department of health. Upon their home return, they must undergo a period of quarantine for the another 14 days according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

At present, 42 out of a total of 96 COVID-19 patients in Quang Nam province have gone on to make a full recovery from the virus.

Vietnam has so far registered 1,046 coronavirus cases, including 691 community acquired infections. About 551 cases of local transmission have been detected since July 25 when the virus resurged in Vietnam’s Da Nang city.

As many as 768 out of 1,046 patients have been discharged from hospital after making a full recovery. In addition, a total of 35 fatalities have been recorded so far.
