Acrobatic brothers lauded for daredevil performance at UK show

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien has decided to present certificates of merit to acrobatic brothers Giang Quoc Nghiep and Giang Quoc Co for their impressive performance in the 2018 Britain’s Got Talent final.

Although they didn’t win the show, the performance was a hit for British audiences, leaving viewers breathless and then putting them on their feet applauding.

Before their act, the Giang brothers told the TV audience although there was a Vietnam’s Got Talent show, they wanted to appear on the UK version because "It’s the biggest show in the world." And they didn’t disappoint the audience.

In 2016, the two artists scaled 90 stairs of Saint Mary’s Cathedral in 52 seconds with Quoc Nghiep balancing atop Quoc Co using only their heads. This performance smashed a Guinness World Record.

Quoc Nghiep, born in 1984, and Quoc Co, born in 1989, are the two youngest Meritorious Artists of Vietnam.

Britain’s Got Talent is a live TV show in the UK watched by about 10 million people.

The winner of Britain's Got Talent 2018 was Lee Ridley - a disabled person who cannot speak. His performance featured "chatting" with the audience through a tablet, with his subtle humour causing laughs aplenty.

The prize for the winner is £250,000 (334,281 USD) in cash. The winner will perform in front of the Queen and Royal Family members at the Royal Variety Performance
