A Vietnamese injured in Bangkok bomb explosion

(VOV) - A Vietnamese was injured in a bomb explosion in Bangkok which killed at least 19 people and wounded more than 120 on August 17. 

The Vietnamese person named Truong Mai Van as written in passport No B8759xxx was slightly injured and is being treated in Bangkok central hospital’s emergency ward.

Most of the victims were Asian. A Vietnamese working group led by ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh went to the site immediately after the bomb blast to learn about the situation.

The Consular Department of Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry affirmed that no Vietnamese was reported dead so far. Currently, the injured are under treatment in 15 hospitals in Bangkok.

This is the largest bomb attack since the coup d’etat in Thailand in May last year.
