A hospital worker re-tests positive for COVID-19 in Hai Phong
VOV.VN - An orderly of Transport Hospital in Hai Phong port city has tested positive again for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a representative of the Hai Phong Department of Health told local media outlets on April 23.
The test had been done several days before the nursing assistant completed the 14-day quarantine period at Hai Phong-based Vietnam-Czechoslovakia Hospital No.2, said the representative.
The man, who had earlier tested positive and been then announced to recover from the disease, was transferred to Hanoi-based Hospital of Tropical Diseases for medical surveillance and treatment.
Epidemiologists on April 22 took 104 samples for COVID-19 testing.
Currently, Hai Phong has nearly 600 people, including 503 foreign experts, in quarantine at concentrated facilities, hotels and homes.
Hai Phong has been carrying out its COVID-19 vaccination campaign, with as many as 3,510 people getting the AstraZeneca vaccine shot.
