A coronavirus infection case confirmed in quarantine facility

VOV.VN - A Vietnamese citizen returning from Japan has been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus during his stay in a quarantine facility in Nghe An province, central Vietnam.

The citizen who returned from Japan on April 14 was placed in quarantine at Muong Thanh Con Cuong hotel in Con Cuong district with another Vietnamese person who was later confirmed as an infection case.

The citizen was infected with the virus following the third test, said the provincial Centre of Disease Control on April 29.

This is the fourth coronavirus case Nghe An has recorded during the past months.

Among three other COVID-19 patients under treatment at Tay Nam Polyclinic, two have tested negative for the virus.

Earlier the same day, the northern province of Ha Nam also announced that a young man returning from Japan has been infected with the virus after completing his 14-day quarantine period.
