97% of children in Hanoi vaccinated against measles
VOV.VN - As of March 31, a total of 24,425 of children aged between six and nine in Hanoi have been vaccinated against measles, meeting 97% of the target, according to the capital’s Department of Health.

The department revealed that the city has recorded 1,355 measles cases since the start of the year, with 60% of patients being children under six and 91% either being unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated.
The outbreak has spread across all 30 districts and towns throughout the capital.
According to the health department, in the first two months of the year, most vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Programme were fully and promptly supplied.
Hanoi also accelerated measles vaccination for children aged six to nine months and children aged one to 10 who have not received two vaccine shots.
Health professionals say popular symptoms of measles include a high fever, rashes on the body, serious coughing, and conjunctivitis. Parents are encouraged to take their children for vaccinations on schedule in order to prevent the disease from spreading further.
