2,340 samples in HCM City test negative for COVID-19

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City had recorded no fresh infection cases among the community as of 6 a.m. on December 4, with a total of 2,340 samples testing negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, according to the southern city’s Center for Disease Control.

In total, 2,344 samples were taken by local people related to the newly detected case in the southern metropolis, with four individuals testing positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The rest includes a total of 848 F1 cases, along with 1,492 F2 cases, whose results came back negative for COVID-19.

At present, there are 1,743 local people in concentrated quarantine areas in Ho Chi Minh City, with a further 2,390 residents isolating at home.

The southern city’s Center for Disease Control is currently in the process of expanding tests for returnees and crew members, while simultaneously strengthening control over people who have recently returned from quarantine and are isolating at home in an effort to curb the spread of SARS-CoV-2 among the community.
