13 illegal entrants from China detained in Cao Bang

VOV.VN - Border guards stationed in the northern border province of Cao Bang have detained 13 individuals who had illegally entered Vietnam by crossing the Vietnam-China border over recent days.

During interrogations, the detainees confessed to having illegally entered China to look for employment between 2019 and 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 impact, coupled with China’s restrictive measures, they had attempted to return to Vietnam through numerous trails located throughout the northern border.

All of the illegal returnees were immediately taken to isolation areas in Trung Khanh and Ha Quang districts in line with COVID-19 guidelines.
