115 kg of synthetic drugs from Cambodia seized in HCM City
VOV.VN - The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (C04) has broken up a transnational drug trafficking ring from Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City, seizing 115 kg of synthetic drugs.
After receiving drugs from Cambodia, criminals sought ways to transport and hide them at a warehouse on Ton That Thuyet Street in District 4.
On June 4 in Phu Xuan commune, Nha Be District, the police caught red handed Thanh Vinh, 55, transporting 100kg of drugs in six packs for distribution.
Tran Van Hai, 52, another member of the ring, was also detained for carrying 1kg of synthetic drugs. Searching his warehouse on Ton That Thuyet Street, the police confiscated an additional 3kg of drugs and 2,000 pills of synthetic drug.
Expanding investigations, the police have detained a total of 7 people involved in the ring and confiscated 115 kg of synthetic drugs of various types and other related documents.
The criminals confessed that they had got the drugs from a Cambodian person through social network, and the drugs were then transported to Vietnam for sales in Ho Chi Minh City.
The case is under further investigation.
