1,000 documents on Vietnam’s National Assembly on show

(VOV) -An exhibit of books and documents on Vietnam’s National Assembly and its 70-year history opened at the National Library on January 4.
The event is being held to mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnam’s first general election on January 6. These documents have been published as books or in magazines or newspapers.
The exhibits feature the law-making body's birth, role, power and general elections as well as Constitutions ratified by the legislature over the past 70 years.
Th event will provide insight into the legislative body’s contributions to national liberation and reunification in the past, and the present cause of reform.
During the periods, the National Assembly have made important decisions and approved major laws, decrees and resolutions.
The exhibit will remain open until January 12.
