Vietnamese President’s official visit makes headlines in Lao media
VOV.VN - Major newspapers of Laos ran articles on April 10 highlighting the official visit by President Vo Van Thuong, affirming that it will contribute to deepening special relations between the two countries.
In its article, Pasaxon - the official newspaper of the Laos People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) - said the Vietnamese President’s official visit from April 10 to april 11 at the invitation of Laos Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith will help to enhance the great friendship, special solidarity, and all-around ties between the two countries. It also serves to affirm that Vietnam always places great importance on developing relations with Laos.
It highlighted the fruitful development of bilateral ties, saying that both countries always affirm their responsibility to preserve, protect, and step up their great friendship. Indeed, the special solidarity and comprehensive co-operation is increasingly developing across a variety of fields based on the spirit of independence, self-mastery, and mutual co-operation.
The two nations are still making every efforts to further develop bilateral relations across the fields of politics, national defence- security, economy, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges. In addition, there is a desire to closely co-ordinate and support each other in the regional and international arena, it emphasised.
The visit can largely be viewed as an opportunity for leaders of both sides to discuss and agree on strategies and measures aimed at further strengthening all-around relations, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of common concern, it stated.
Meanwhile, PathetLao, a publication of the Laos News Agency KPL, said that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive co-operation between the two Parties, States, and peoples serves as an exemplary relationship that never fades in international relations.
Both Pasaxon and PathetLao noted that the visit aims to strengthen and cultivate the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive co-operation between the two Parties, nations, and peoples.
The relations represent a priceless common asset of the two Parties and nations, as well as being a factor decisive to the victory of each country’s revolution, they added.
