“Dear compatriots, comrades, and soldiers nationwide, and fellow citizens abroad,

The Year of the Horse has arrived. At this sacred moment of transition between the old year and the new, I warmly extend my best wishes for a peaceful, healthy, and happy New Year to compatriots, comrades, soldiers, and our overseas Vietnamese community. I also convey my sincere greetings to international friends, wishing you a New Year of peace, happiness, and shared development.

The Year of the Snake 2025 was marked by many significant events of special importance and achievements of which Vietnam can be justly proud. At the same time, it was a year of considerable difficulties and challenges, amid rapid, complex, and unpredictable regional and global developments, as well as severe natural disasters that caused heavy losses and deep sorrow among our people.

With steadfast resolve and a spirit of self-reliance and resilience, our entire Party, people, and armed forces stood united, working hand in hand and heart to heart, harnessing national strength and international support, successfully fulfilling all major targets, achieving many outstanding results. Independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity were safeguarded; peace was maintained; economic growth ranked among the world’s leading performances, enabling Vietnam to attain upper-middle-income status; social welfare received due attention; political and social stability was ensured; national defense and security were strengthened; foreign affairs and international integration advanced; and Vietnam’s international standing and prestige continued to rise. These accomplishments have laid a solid foundation for our nation to enter a new era of development.

Entering the Year of the Horse, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, our entire Party, people, and armed forces will continue to uphold patriotism, unity, resilience, and our aspiration for progress, seize opportunities, overcome challenges, strengthen self-reliance and national pride, and act decisively and creatively to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.

In the joyful spirit of welcoming the new spring, I once again wish compatriots, comrades, soldiers nationwide, and our fellow citizens abroad new victories and new successes in the new year. May our country grow ever stronger and more prosperous, and may our people enjoy lives of prosperity, freedom, and happiness.
