Vietnamese President departs for 2025 APEC Economic Leaders' Week in RoK
VOV.VN - President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi on October 29 for the Republic of Korea to attend the 2025 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Gyeongju and carry out bilateral activities at the invitation of President Lee Jae Myung.
The visit takes place from October 29 to November 1.
Vietnam officially became a member of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) at the 10th APEC Ministerial Meeting on November 15, 1998, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a major milestone in its pursuit of an open, diversified, and multilateral foreign policy and international economic integration.
Over 27 years of membership, the nation has made a strong mark within APEC and has consistently been recognized as an active, responsible, and constructive member contributing to the realization of the forum’s goals and vision while enhancing its role in regional cooperation.
President Luong Cuong’s participation in the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Week will help demonstrate Vietnam’s strong commitment to the process of cooperation and economic integration in the Asia-Pacific, while reaffirming the country’s role as an active, responsible, and increasingly proactive member in shaping the regional cooperation architecture toward hosting APEC 2027.
