Vietnamese Party leader meets with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang
VOV.VN - On November 1, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang as part of his activities within the framework of the official visit to China at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping.
Premier Li Keqiang showed his elation to meet General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong again and expressed his belief that this visit to China by the Vietnamese Party chief will certainly contribute to promoting the Vietnam-China strategic cooperative partnership in a healthy, stable and sustainable manner in the new period.
The Chinese cabinet leader hailed the great achievements that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have recorded during the Doi Moi (Renewal) and building socialism process. He affirmed that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Vietnam, while emphasizing that the two countries have many things in common.
He expressed his confidence that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese Party, State and people will definitely successfully implement the Resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress as well as goals to 2030 and a vision to 2045.
In response, the Vietnamese Party chief congratulated the success of the 20th CPC Congress and the tremendous achievements China has obtained in recent years.
He wished the Chinese Party, State and people will successfully implement the Resolution set by the 20th National Party Congress and effectively realize the goal of striving for the "second 100 years" of developing China into a socialist modern, wealthy, democratic, civilized, harmonious, beautiful nation.
Trong informed Premier Li Keqiang about the very good results of his talks with CPC General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and highly appreciated the Chinese Government for making important contributions to consolidating and developing the relationship between the two countries.
He suggested that with their important roles, the two governments should direct agencies, ministries and sectors to successfully implement cooperation agreements signed between the two sides during the visit.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that Vietnam and China are two close neighbors with a long tradition of friendship, and many similarities in terms of political regime and development path.
Vietnam always places great importance on, gives top priority to developing relations with China, and consistently adheres to the "one China" policy, Trong told his host.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed their delight at the positive and healthy development trend of the relations between the two parties and the two countries in recent years.
They consented to ramp up cooperation in a variety of fields in the new development phase of the two Parties, the two countries and in the current international context, maintain regular exchanges and high-level meetings, consolidate political trust, and boost economic recovery and development.
Both sides emphasized promoting cooperation in trade and investment, creating a material foundation and driving force for the development of the two countries' relations in order to ensure the sustainable growth of bilateral trade turnover.
The two sides also concurred to bolster cooperation in ensuring supply chain stability, make good use of free trade agreements, strengthen the connection of development strategies as a contribution to economic recovery and development after the pandemic.
Host and guest agreed to intensify coordination at multilateral and regional forums, and work together to maintain peace and stability in the region.
