Vietnamese, Lao government offices bolster cooperation
The Vietnamese Government Office and the Lao Prime Minister Office held a workshop in Luang Prabang province in northern Laos on March 27 to enhance their staff’s professional skills.
The workshop is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation and the 55th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties, he said.
Minister-Chairman of the Lao Prime Minister Office Pheth Phomphiphak thanked the Vietnamese Government Office for supporting its Lao counterpart over the past few years, saying the workshop will bring valuable experience for the two offices’ officials.
The two sides exchanged experience in building working plans and organizing meetings for the Government, as well as in drafting and revising laws and regulations. They also compared notes on how to supervise the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister to ministries, agencies, provincial People’s Committees, and organizations.
The handling of petitions and proposals submitted by businesses was also on the agenda.
Earlier the same day, Minister-Chairman of the Vietnamese Government Office Mai Tien Dung had a meeting with Minister-Chairman of the Lao Prime Minister Office Pheth Phomphiphak.
