Vietnamese community in Laos places trust, hope in 14th National Party Congress

Members of the Vietnamese community in Laos have expressed strong confidence and high expectations for the success of the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, believing it will chart new strategic directions for Vietnam’s development and affirm the country’s growing stature on the global stage.

Attending the conference held in Vientiane on November 6 to collect feedback on the draft documents for the congress, they said that the draft documents were meticulously prepared, and reflect the country’s development reality, highlighting both achievements and areas that require improvement.

Pham Van Hung, Chairman of the General Association of Vietnamese in Laos, voiced his support for the draft documents, noting that they are scientific, well-prepared, and highly practical.

Nguyen Xuan Ha, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Laos, highlighted breakthrough policies in the draft documents, saying that they demonstrate the Party and State's strategic vision for sustainable development. He hoped these orientations would soon be translated into concrete actions and policies to better support the Vietnamese business community abroad, particularly in Laos, and to further strengthen the special friendship between the two countries.

Overseas Vietnamese entrepreneur Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen highlighted the Party and State’s consistent focus on human development through practical policies in education and training and called for continued support for private Vietnamese businesses overseas, including through the public-private partnership model.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam said that these opinions will help refine the draft documents and demonstrate the affection, trust, and solidarity of overseas Vietnamese toward the Party and the homeland.
