Vietnamese Ambassador extends greetings on Lao Party’s founding anniversary
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung visited the headquarters of the Commission for External Relations of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee on March 17 in Vientiane as part of efforts to extend greetings on the LPRP’s 68th founding anniversary.
Congratulating the neighbouring country on the great achievements recorded in all fields over the past 68 years, Ambassador Hung affirmed that under the leadership of the LPRP the Laotian people have overcome a range of difficulties, hardships, and challenges. In doing so they have won several great victories in the struggle for national liberation, national defence, and construction, thereby helping to raise Laos' position in regional and international arenas.
He outlined his beleif that under the LPRP’s leadership, the Laotian people will continue to record further achievements in the future to aid the cause of national construction and development.
The Vietnamese diplomat stressed that the country remains steadfast in preserving and cultivating ties of bilateral great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive co-operation.
In response, Thongsavanh Phomvihane, head of the Commission for External Relations of the LPRP Central Committee, emphasised that the LPRP and the Communist Party of Vietnam have the same origin as the Indochinese Communist Party.
Over recent years the two Parties have always worked closely together for the cause of national defence and construction, a move which has created a unique relationship.
He said that the future will see the commission continue to work closely with the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos in order to cultivate great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive co-operation between the two Parties, States, and peoples.
