Vietnam, US hold 8th Naval Engagement Activity

VOV.VN - The US Navy’s littoral combat ship USS Coronado (LCS-4) and salvage ship USNS Salvor (ARS-52) docked at Cam Ranh international seaport in the central province of Khanh Hoa for the eighth Naval Engagement Activity (NEA) between the two navies.

A string of cultural and sport activities are being held from July 5-10 during the 8th NEA which focus on exchanging skills related to military medicine, maritime security, search and rescue at sea, and the enforcement of a code of conduct for unexpected confronts at sea.

On the afternoon of July 5, in Nha Trang city, leaders of the provincial People’s Committee hosted a reception for senior officers of the US naval delegation.

This is the first time the NEA has been launched in Khanh Hoa province since its inception in 2010.
