Vietnam, RoK hold fifth defence policy dialogue
VOV.VN - Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) compared notes on regional and global security and issues of shared concern at the fifth defence policy dialogue in Hanoi on December 27.
They reviewed outcomes of bilateral engagements since their last dialogue in April 2015 as well as outline new tasks and orientations to improve defence ties in a more effective fashion.
Defence Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh welcomed the RoK delegation led by Vice Minister of National Defence Hwang In-moo and affirmed that Vietnam always take heed to cooperation with the RoK in a multitude of fields, particularly in defence.
Both sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on defence cooperation in 2010 and conducted a defence strategy dialogue at the deputy ministerial level in 2012.
