Vietnam, Laos anticipate stronger justice co-operation
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long joined with his Laotian counterpart Phayvy Siboualypha to co-chair a ceremony on August 24 in the central province of Nghe An to celebrate the 40th founding anniversary of co-operation between the two ministries.
Minister Long highlighted the long-lasting relations that exist between the two Parties, States, and peoples in general, as well as the two justice ministries in particular, expressing his great confidence that ties will grow stronger moving forward.
The Vietnamese Ministry therefore pledged to provide continued support to the Laotian side as a contribution to boosting legal and judicial co-operation between the two nations, he said.
In response, Siboualypha thanked the Vietnamese justice sector for its support for his agency, hoping that co-operation between the two sides will contribute to spurring forward the comprehensive development of the great friendship between the two countries in the future.
As part of the occasion, individuals and organisations which have made positive contributions to bolstering ties between the judicial sectors of both countries were honoured with state-level awards and insignias of both nations' justice ministers.
