Vietnam joins Hague Convention
Vietnam has officially become a member of the Hague Conference, the most prestigious organization in the field of international justice.
Secretary General of the Hague Conference Hans Van Loon on April 10 gave Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien a notification in the Hague, to officially accepting Vietnam as a member from April 10, 2013 after Vietnam got the vote from the majority of the member states.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the accession to the Hague Conference will mark the intensive and extensive integration of Vietnam into the international legal sector.
"It shows Vietnam's willingness to co-operate with other countries to support each other in dealing with the management of the legal requirements of international justice," said Lien.
The Hague Conference is an inter-governmental organization which was founded in 1893 to serve global demands for cross-border solutions to disputes or transactions in civil and commercial matters.
