South Africa, Vietnam promote communication cooperation

VOV.VN -  A Vietnamese delegation led by Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for External Information Service Pham Van Linh paid a working visit to South Africa on April 24-29 to enhance links in communication between the two nations.

The delegation had working sessions with representatives from South Africa’s Ministry of Information and Communications, the ruling African National Congress ( ANC ), and the South African Communist Party (SACP). 

The delegation head briefed the hosts on Vietnam’s recent socio-economic development and the success of the 12 th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). 

He underlined the need for both sides to offer mutual support at regional and international forums, and promote international law for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Representatives from the ANC and the SACP described the visit by the Vietnamese delegation as a contribution step up cooperation in communication as well as relations between the countries and between their respective parties and the CPV. 

The hosts also expressed their admiration for Vietnam’s development achievements across a variety of fields, especially the country’s efforts in realising Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and international integration.

The ANC National Communications Manager Keith Khoza glowingly spoke of Vietnam’s communication achievements, saying that he hopes the ANC and the Vietnamese committee will intensify delegation exchange, share experience in and further boster connection in communication, professional training and publishing.
