Senior leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on his 135th birthday
VOV.VN - A delegation representing the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee laid wreaths at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum on May 19 morning to mark the 135th anniversary of his birth (May 19, 1890 – 2025).

The ceremony was attended by Politburo members, including Party General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Permanent member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.
Also present were former senior leaders, current Politburo members, Secretaries of the CPV Central Committee, the Vice President, Vice Chairpersons of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, and leaders of ministries and central agencies.
They expressed deep gratitude and profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh’s immense contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Inspired by his legacy, the Party and State leaders reaffirmed their resolve to follow his path in building a peaceful, independent, unified, democratic, and prosperous Vietnam that steadily advances toward socialism.
Following the ceremony, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street to honor those who sacrificed their lives for national liberation, independence, freedom, and the people’s happiness.
That same morning, delegations from the Central Military Commission – Ministry of National Defence; the Central Public Security Commission – Ministry of Public Security; and the Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee of Hanoi also paid floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers.
