As part of his address, Hoang Minh Nhan, chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association (VRFA), emphasized the significance of the Revolution, stating that it had left a great influence on the revolution in Vietnam and its subsequent developments.
The Revolution served to set the foundations for the traditional relationship between both sides, which has since stood the test of time, he said.
The relations are currently developing across a variety of fields, he said adding that both sides have regularly held meetings and maintained delegation exchanges at all levels.
Valery Mikhailovich Karchagin of the Russian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City said the enhancement of the comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam can be viewed as one of Russia's top priorities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Through many changes of the times, both countries have undergone fundamental changes, but the most important thing is still the common interest in building a mutually beneficial relationship, bringing the two peoples closer, he added.
