Russia, Vietnam keen to further boost all-around cooperation
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko have agreed that both nations need to carry out practical activities and projects to promote cultural values, education, people-to-people exchange, and locality-to-locality cooperation.
Deputy PM Hong Ha expressed his pleasure to meet Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko again after the 24th meeting of the Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Trade and Scientific - Technical Cooperation in April 2023.
Ha said he believes that the meetings and working sessions of the Russian Deputy PM within the framework of the official State visit to Vietnam by President Vladimir Putin, at the invitation of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, will contribute to stepping up cooperation in a multitude of fields, and deepening bilateral relations.
After the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee Meeting in April 2023, the agreements in the Minutes of the Meeting were actively implemented, especially in the fields of diplomacy, trade, energy, education and training, science and technology, culture, sports and tourism.
Particularly, Russia has strengths in these traditional areas of cooperation between the two sides, Ha told his guest.
Both sides have made efforts to research and come up with feasible solutions to resolve difficulties and obstacles when carrying out new areas of cooperation. Russian and Vietnamese businesses have put forth many proposals and initiatives to promote investment and business in both nations.
For his part, Deputy PM Dmitry Chernyshenko discussed in detail measures to expand investment and business fields of the two countries' enterprises based on each country's strengths such as oil and gas, energy, agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, mechanical products, and tourism.
