Prime Minister Phuc’ s visit to Netherlands in photos

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had important meetings before leaving Amsterdam for Hanoi, successfully ending an official visit to the Netherlands at the invitation of his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte.

PM Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Employment of the Netherlands, Lodewijck Asscher attended the Vietnam-Netherlands Business Forum in The Hague on the afternoon of July 10. The forum attracted the participation of 450 enterprises, including nearly 300 from the host country.

PM Phuc said Vietnam encourages Dutch enterprises to increase investment in Vietnam to help the country enhance its processing capability and improve its status in the global value chain.

The PM witnessed the signing of deals among businesses from the two countries.

On the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a business roundtable which focused on issues of smart city and airport city.

Vietnam is studying to build smart cities and environmentally-friendly airport cities, Phuc said, adding that the country hopes to receive the Netherlands’ support in the work.

PM Phuc and his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte held talks on the evening of July 10 after the welcome ceremony.

The two sides issued a joint statement on outcomes of PM Phuc’s visit to the Netherlands from July 8-11. 

Following the talks, the two PMs and the WB Country Director for Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in food safety management.  

The two PMs witnessed the signing of cooperation documents in infrastructure, natural disaster combat, and seaport and logistic services between ministries and agencies of the two countries.



PM Phuc worked with leading Dutch businesses in finance and energy.

PM Phuc hosted a reception for Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Philipp Roesler.


PM Phuc led the Vietnamese delegation during a visit to Rotterdam City and worked with Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb.

Earlier the same day, PM Phuc visited the Rotterdam port – the biggest of its kind in Europe stressing about 40 kilometers.


The PM met President of the Senate Ankie Broekers-Knol and Speaker of the House of Representatives Khadija Arib of the Netherlands in The Hague on July 11.


PM Phuc and other Vietnamese high-ranking officials left Amsterdam late July 11, successfully ending their official visit to the Netherlands.
