President Quang arrives in Brunei for State-level visit
VOV.VN - On August 26 afternoon, President Tran Dai Quang arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Brunei beginning a three-day State-level visit to the country.
Distinguished guests welcoming the Vietnamese delegation at the airport included Brunei Minister of Education Pehin Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Brunei Ambassador to Vietnam Pengiran Sahari Pengiran Salleh, Vietnam Ambassador to Brunei Nguyen Truong Giang, and officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei, Brunei Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The visit aims to continue realizing the diplomatic guidelines set by the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) as well as deepen international relations and strengthen the friendship and all-around cooperation with Brunei.
The State leader are being accompanied by Chairman of the Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Education and Training Tran Xuan Nha, Deputy Defence Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh, among others.
The same day, President Tran Dai Quang visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei where he talked with the embassy staff and representatives of overseas Vietnamese community about the situation in Vietnam, the relations between Vietnam and Brunei, and the purposes of his visit.
"Vietnam's unwavering policy is to value contributions by overseas Vietnamese to the homeland and consider them an indispensable part of the nation," President Quang noted.
