President Luong Cuong departs for state visit to Laos
VOV.VN - President Luong Cuong, leading a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, on April 24 afternoon left Hanoi for a state visit to Laos at the invitation of Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos.

This marks President Luong Cuong’s first state visit to Laos, underscoring Vietnam’s deep respect and high priority given to its special relationship with the neighbouring country, as well as the determination of both Parties and States to further strengthen their special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.
The visit takes place amid continued positive developments in the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Reflecting the strong resolve to implement high-level agreements, this visit is of significant importance. It reaffirms the consistent foreign policy of the Vietnamese Party and State, which prioritises the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation with Laos.
The trip also aims to deepen political trust and boost close bonds between the two countries’ top leaders, while affirming Vietnam’s unwavering support for Laos’s renewal efforts. It highlights Vietnam’s view of the Lao State and the bilateral ties as one of the top priorities in its foreign policy.
