Politburo inspects Party Committee of central Party agencies

VOV.VN - A conference was held on March 9 at the Party Committee of central Party agencies to announce the Politburo and Secretariat’s 2026 inspection and supervision decision and to work with the Standing Board of the Party Committee of central Party agencies.

Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly and head of Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 11, chaired the conference.

Tran Cam Tu, Permanent member of the Secretariat and Secretary of the Party Committee of central Party agencies also attended the conference.

In his opening remarks, the top Vietnamese legislator said the inspection and supervision aim to comprehensively review the leadership and direction of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of central Party agencies in implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, a resolution that sets strategic orientation for the country’s development in the new period.

The Politburo requested a full review of the organisation of study, dissemination, communication and implementation of the resolution, including the development and implementation of action programmes, the results achieved and existing limitations, difficulties and obstacles.

The inspection also covers leadership and direction in implementing Politburo Directive No. 46 on the leadership of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The elections represent an important political task with major significance for consolidating and improving the state apparatus, ensuring the people’s right to mastery and enhancing the effectiveness of the political system. The first session of the 16th legislature will also take place in the coming period.

The Vietnamese NA leader called on the Standing Board of the Party Committee of central Party agencies and relevant bodies to coordinate closely with the inspection delegation, prepare reports as required and facilitate the delegation’s work so it can complete the tasks assigned by the Politburo.

Members of the delegation, he said, should perform their duties in a serious, objective and scientific manner in accordance with regulations while ensuring quality and effectiveness and avoiding disruption to the work of inspected units.

According to Man, the supervision will be carried out in two phases, with the first report due at the end of March and the second at the end of June.

He expressed the expectation that the Party Committee of central Party agencies will take the lead in realizing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress as well as Party directives and resolutions to meet new requirements.

Speaking at the conference, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, also Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies, said the inspection and supervision provide an important basis for reviewing the situation, making timely adjustments to tasks and solutions and improving the effectiveness of leadership and direction in the coming period.

The aim, he said, is to ensure that the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, along with resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party Central Committee and the resolution of the Party Congress of central Party agencies, are carried out in a practical, timely and effective manner.

Tran Cam Tu said that following the 14th National Party Congress, the Standing Board of the Party Committee of central Party agencies issued a number of leadership and guidance documents and organised the implementation of action programmes across the Party organisation, highlighting the responsibility of officials and Party members to set an example.

In implementing Directive No. 46 on the election of deputies to the 16th NA and People’s Councils for the 2026-2031 term, the Party Committee of central Party agencies has focused on four majot tasks, including issuing leadership and guidance documents, organising study and dissemination activities, implementing specific measures and making proposals and recommendations.

Tu stressed that the Party Committee clearly recognises the importance of inspection and supervision by the Politburo and the Secretariat, describing it as a regular task that contributes to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and other Party resolutions, directives and conclusions.

He added that, in line with its responsibilities, the Party Committee of central Party agencies will actively carry out tasks assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat, with particular attention to strengthening strategic advisory work to meet new requirements.

The Party Committee of central Party agencies will coordinate closely with the inspection delegation, provide full and timely information, documents and materials, and ensure that assigned tasks are accomplished on schedule.
