PM Pham Minh Chinh to attend ASEAN-US summit
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is scheduled to attend the ASEAN-US summit in Washington D.C slated for this March, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on March 3.
“US President Joe Biden has sent invitations to the Vietnamese Prime Minister and leaders of other ASEAN member states to attend the ASEAN-US special summit,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said at the foreign ministry's press conference.
ASEAN has agreed with the US’ suggestion of organizing the summit and related parties are discussing issues regarding the summit as well as the event's timing, Hang said.
The Vietnamese Government leader is also set to attend the event and have bilateral activities in the US.
