PM Chinh receives leaders of major Indonesian enterprises
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leaders of major Indonesian enterprises, including Ciputra, Traveloka, and Modena, on September 4 on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit and related meetings held in Jakarta in Indonesia.
Leaders of the Indonesian firms expressed their confidence that the flourishing strategic partnership which exists between the two nations will provide a solid stepping stone for firms from both sides’ to expand links.
They therefore highlighted Vietnam as a highly potential and attractive market in which enterprises can make investments in, conduct business, and sell high-quality goods.
Budiarsa Sastrawinata, managing director of Ciputra, a leading conglomerate of the archipelago nation and also chairman of the Indonesia - Vietnam Friendship Association, thanked the Vietnamese Government for supporting his group’s projects in the country, going on to make some investment co-operation proposals.
Michael Jizhar, executive vice president of Modena, a big household appliance and electronics brand in Indonesia, noted that the nation represents an important market, with his enterprise considering pouring further investment into appliance and electric vehicle production and renewable energy development.
Albert Zhang, co-founder of Traveloka, an online travel service platform, views the country as an attractive tourist destination in Southeast Asia and Asia. He also informed PM Chinh of his firm’s co-operation with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and Vietnamese localities to promote the digital transformation of local tourism and to attract more international visitors.
Congratulating the businesses on their successful investments in the Vietnamese market, the Vietnamese cabinet leader called on them to further bring into play their social responsibility, help boost innovation, science - technology application, and labour productivity improvement, all whilst actively contributing to opinions aimed at institutional building.
In terms of real estate, he assessed that the nation is encouraging the development of housing for workers and low-income earners.
The Vietnamese Government always strives to create the best possible conditions for investors to operate efficiently, sustainably, and profitably on the basis of harmonising interests and sharing risks among parties, the PM affirmed, adding that the success of investors is also shared by Vietnam.
