PM Chinh attends third annual Industry 4.0 Summit

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is set to give a key-note speech during the plenary session of the third version of the annual Industry 4.0 Summit, which is being held virtually at nearly 100 connection points nationwide.

The third Industry 4.0 Summit will primarily focus on sustainable socio-economic recovery and development moving into the post-COVID-19 period, along with accelerating modernisation and industrialisation in the digital era, particularly how it represents an event of great political, economic, and social significance.

The occasion is expected to serve as a platform for strategy planning and contribute to the country’s post-pandemic economic development in the new normal in line with conclusions made at the fourth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee and the Prime Minister’s directions.

It will therefore focus on discussions linked to the industrialisation and modernisation strategy up until 2030 with a vision towards 2045, reports on industrialisation in the digital era, and the future of the global economy in the post-pandemic period. This is in addition to innovation, the key to recovery and development, and the national digital transformation towards boosting both the digital economy and society as a whole.

Thematic seminars are set to feature fresh approaches to industrialisation and modernisation, smart production and smart urban development, green and new energy, fresh business models, developing an e-government towards achieving a digital government, and growing digital infrastructure and human resources. This is in addition to digital transformation in both agriculture and rural development, along with and smart banking.

Furthermore, virtual reality exhibitions on Industry 4.0 technology models, products, and the results of digital transformation of industries and fields domestically are set to be held within the framework of the summit.

Along with a host of seminars and exhibitions, a broad range of activities linked to technology investment connectivity are also planned in order to seek business co-operation opportunities between various corporations and business organisations involved in research, production, and the application of digital technologies.
