Patriotic emulation movements encouraged
(VOV) -A meeting was held in HCM City on June 9 to mark 65 years of late President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for national patriotic emulation (June 11).
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai attended the event, along with heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the armed forces, and many local residents.

Recent patriotic emulation movements were reviewed, including those on poverty reduction and youth volunteerism.
These movements have helped realize the country’s socio-economic tasks and ensure national defence and security, the delegates said.
Also on the occasion, outstanding organizations and individuals were recognized for their contributions to national patriotic emulation movements.
