Party leader begins official visit to China
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and a high-ranking delegation arrived in Beijing on January 12 afternoon for their official visit to China at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President Xi Jinping.
Those among guests welcoming the Vietnamese Party leader at the Beijing International Airport included Song Tao, Head of the International Liaison Department under the Chinese Party Central Committee, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi, the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and Vietnamese people living in China.
The visit takes place at a time when the two countries are preparing to celebrate the 67th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations and welcome their traditional Lunar New Year.
The visit is of great significance for promoting bilateral ties and defining the long-term direction for the vigorous and stable development of the relationship in the time ahead.
