National Assembly officially approves dismissal of two deputy PMs
VOV.VN - National Assembly (NA) deputies on January 5 voted by secret ballot to adopt a resolution approving the dismissal of Deputy Prime Ministers Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dam for the 2021 to 2026 term.
A report on relieving the two deputy PMs from their positions came as NA deputies of the 15th legislature presented a report during the second extraordinary meeting.
The report was made according to the Constitution and relevant regulations, with it relating to the notice of the Politburo's opinion on the dismissal of 15th NA deputies.
The same day saw Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh submit a request to the NA to approve the dismissal of the two deputy PMs for the 2021 to 2026 term.
This comes after the Party Central Committee agreed to relieve former Deputy PM Minh from his position as Politburo member, whilst Vu Duc Dam resigned from his position as member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
The Party Central Party Committee also gave opinions on two personnel for the Politburo to decide to recommend the 15th NA to approve the title of Deputy PM for the 2021 to 2026 term as stipulated.
Immediately after the legislature approved the dismissal of both Binh Minh and Duc Dam, PM Chinh submitted new personnel, requesting the NA approve the appointment of deputy PMs for the 2021 to 2026 term.
