NA leader wishes for stronger Vietnam-Hungary procuracy cooperation

VOV.VN -National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed a desire for more substantial and effective cooperation between the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam and the Hungarian Prosecution Service by intensifying delegation exchange at all levels and sharing experience in procuracy work.

At a September 17 reception in Hanoi for Prosecutor General Peter Polt, the top Vietnamese legislator highlighted the Vietnam visit of the Hungarian Prosecutor General and his delegation as a contribution to developing ties between the two countries as well as their judicial cooperation.

She also expressed joy at the achievements Hungary has recorded in the process of national modernization and integration into Europe while wishing the Hungarian people would continue to reap even greater achievements in the cause of national development.

The Hungarian guest informed the Vietnamese NA leader about the outcome of his earlier meeting with the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam.

At this meeting, the two sides agreed to upgrade their relationship to a level of strategic partnership toward broader cooperation in diverse fields. The two procuracy agencies renewed cooperation agreements, focusing on specific areas of mutual concern such as anti-corruption and high-tech and economic crime prevention.

They showed desires to further promote development strategies, continue their closer cooperation in training procurators and judicial staff. The Hungarian Prosecution Service will increase the number of scholarships for Vietnamese students who want to pursue their study in Hungary in the time ahead.

Peter Polt said he hopes for further cooperation with the Vietnam National Assembly in legislative activities.

NA Chairwoman Ngan praised the effective cooperation between the two procuracy agencies and desired their stronger affiliation in future.
