NA adopts resolution on vote of confidence results
VOV.VN - The National Assembly (NA) on the afternoon October 25 adopted a resolution confirming the results of the vote of confidence on officials holding the positions elected or approved by the NA at its ongoing sixth session in Hanoi.
The resolution was approved with 470 out of 472 votes in favour, accounting for 95.14% of the total number of NA deputies.
NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said the vote of confidence, part of the ongoing sixth session of the 15th NA, was held in a strict, democratic, objective, transparent, and serious manner in line with Resolution No. 96/2023/QH15 on the collection and casting of votes of confidence on persons holding positions elected or approved by the NA and People’s Councils.
This comes after legislators cast secret ballots on the morning of October 25, in a vote of confidence on the 44 persons holding the positions elected or approved by the legislature.
The organisation of the vote is designed to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the parliament’s supervisory activities and the State apparatus’s activities, thereby helping to assess the prestige and performance of officials. This will help them to realise the confidence they are given to continue making self-improvement and bettering their performance. It also serves as a basis for authorised agencies to implement personnel planning, training, appointment, and use.
This important work must be done in line with regulations and with democracy, objectivity, impartiality, and transparency guaranteed in order to have a precise assessment of officials’ performance of their duties, political steadfastness, morality, and lifestyle.
