Congratulations from foreign leaders continued to flow in after the Vietnamese National Assembly elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong as President of Vietnam.

Pavlopoulos, President of Finland Sauli Niinisto, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Nicaragua and Chairman of FSLN Daniel Ortega Saavedra, and Vice President of Nicaragua Rosario Murillo.
