Lebanese President wishes for all-around cooperation with Vietnam

VOV.VN - Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has expressed his desire to deepen cooperation across a variety of fields between Vietnam and Lebanon in the future.

On March 11, at the Baabda Presidential Palace in Beirut, Lebanon, Nguyen Huy Dung, Vietnam's Ambassador to Egypt and concurrently accredited to Lebanon, presented his letter of credence from President Luong Cuong to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, marking the official start of his non-resident ambassadorial duties in Lebanon.

During the meeting, President Aoun extended his congratulations to Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung and highlighted the warm, respectful relationship between the Lebanese and Vietnamese peoples. He expressed admiration for Vietnam's socio-economic achievements and emphasized his desire to deepen cooperation between the two countries across multiple fields in the near future.

President Aoun assured that Lebanese authorities will fully support the Vietnamese diplomat in his mission, hoping that his efforts will strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Lebanon and Vietnam.

In turn, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung conveyed greetings from President Luong Cuong and expressed optimism about the great potential for closer ties. He pledged his best efforts to contribute to the advancement of Vietnam-Lebanon relations.

Earlier, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung had also presented a copy of his letter of credence to Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, who praised Vietnam's accomplishments and reiterated Lebanon’s readiness to work closely with Vietnam to ramp up practical and effective bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Dung expressed Vietnam’s commitment to enhancing trade relations, especially with the Middle East and Africa, and underlining the country’s readiness to collaborate with Lebanon to establish fruitful cooperation frameworks.
