Laos congratulates Vietnam’s 68th National Day

A delegation from the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association (LVFA) led by its Chairman Phankham Viphavan on August 27 paid a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos to congratulate Vietnam on its 68th National Day (September 2).

With past achievements, the two countries need to promote comprehensive and effective cooperation, especially in human resources development that plays a crucial role in national development, said Viphavan, who is a politburo member of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and Minister of Education and Sports.

The Lao Party, State and people, and the LVFA in particular always show deep gratitude to the valuable assistance that Vietnamese people have given over the past years, he said, voicing his desire to strengthen and expand the two countries’ special relations.

Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung briefed Viphavan on Vietnam’s outstanding achievements in recent times, adding that Vietnam-Laos ties will be developed in a deeper and more effective manner for mutual benefit.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel recently held a get-together to mark the similar event. At the meeting, Ambassador Ta Duy Chinh reviewed the country’s socio-economic development progress over the years.

He was also pleased to inform the participants about the positive macroeconomic signals in Vietnam’s production and exports, and the country’s external activities.
