Lao leaders highly valued the sacrifices made by former Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts who stood shoulder to shoulder in the same trench with the Lao army and people in the fight against invaders till the country was completely liberated.

Sisoulith affirmed that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples remain strong and continuously develop across all areas.

Thanking the Party, State, and people of Vietnam for their invaluable assistance, General Chanyalath emphasised that the significant sacrifices by former volunteer soldiers and military experts not only helped the Lao revolution achieve complete independence on December 2, 1975, but also deepened the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam - a unique relationship in the world.

Huong, on behalf of the delegation, donated 10 million VND (405 USD) to the Lao people in areas affected by the recent floods.

Earlier the same day, the delegation visited a boarding culture and ethnicity school of the Lao People's Army which was funded by the Vietnam People’s Army. On this occasion, they presented 35 computer sets to the school.
