Japanese Emperor, Empress depart Hue, ending Vietnam visit

VOV.VN - On March 5, Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko left the imperial city of Hue, successfully concluding their six-day State visit to Vietnam February 28-March 5.

On the morning of March 5, many Hue people took to the streets, waving goodbye to the Japanese imperial couple before their departure.


During their trip to Hue, the Japanese Emperor and Empress visited the Hue imperial citadel, enjoyed Hue royal court music, met Japanese volunteers, and called at the Phan Boi Chau memorial house.

The Japanese Emperor and Empress enjoyed their just-concluded visit to the imperial city of Hue, said Hatsuhisa Takashima, Press Secretary to Emperor Akihito at a press conference on March 4.

The Emperor and Empress extended their sincere thanks to Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien,

and other people seeing off them.


The royal couple wave goodbye to everyone.


 Special aircraft carrying the imperial couple took off at 12:15 pm the same day.
