Japan PM Shinzo Abe meets with Vietnamese leaders in 2016

VOV.VN - In 2016, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met and talked with many Vietnamese top leaders like State President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in Tokyo on May 28 to begin his official visit to Japan at the invitation of PM Shinzo Abe.

The two leaders agreed to seek specific measures to promote connectivity between the two economies in terms of economic strategies, production and human resources via investment and trade cooperation and official development assistance (ODA).

PM Abe affirmed that Japan attaches much importance to strengthening ties with Vietnam.

PM Phuc met his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of ASEAN Summit in Vientiane, Laos on September 7, 2016.

The two government leaders reached high consensus on major orientations and specific measures to push forward the comprehensive, practical and effective development of the bilateral extensive strategic partnership. 

State President Tran Dai Quang held talks with PM Abe on the sidelines of APEC Summit in Peru on November 20, 2016.

PM Shinzo Abe received Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission on November 30.
