Iran wishes for stronger cooperation with Vietnam in various aspects
VOV.VN - President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed Iran’s desire to enhance cooperation with Vietnam across political, defence-security, economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchange fields when receiving Vietnamese ambassador to Iran Nguyen Luong Ngoc who presented his credentials to him on June 3 in Tehran.

At the reception following the credential presentation ceremony, President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc on his appointment as Vietnamese Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He expressed confidence that the ambassador would make important contributions to strengthening and further developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Iran, thus meeting the needs and interests of both peoples.
President Pezeshkian highlighted the historical, friendly, and close ties Iran and Vietnam have built over the years and also noted his nation’s readiness to share experience with Vietnam in various areas.
Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc conveyed greetings and regards from Vietnamese President Luong Cuong to President Pezeshkian. He expressed his honor and pride to serve in Iran, a country with an 8,000-year-old civilization, rich cultural identity, friendly people, and great intellect. He also congratulated Iran on the major achievements it has made since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Emphasizing the important roles Vietnam and Iran play in Southeast Asia and the Middle East respectively, and their shared passionate desire for peace along with great development potential, Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc said this forms a solid basis for the two countries to expand cooperation across multiple fields and pledged his best efforts to further promote the good friendship between the two nations.
