In photos: President Quang’s first day in China

VOV.VN - State President Tran Dai Quang’s visit to China on May 11-15 takes place amidst the two countries’ growing relations in multiple fields.

President Tran Dai Quang arrived at Beijing airport on May 11, beginning his state visit to China at the invitation of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of China, Xi Jinping.

Those present to welcome the guests are Chinese Minister of Culture Luo Shugang, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi, Vietnamese Embassy staff and a large number of Overseas Vietnamese residing and working in China.



A welcome ceremony for President Quang, the highest ritual for a head of state, was chaired by Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

A 21-gun salute was accorded to Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and his wife at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on May 11 afternoon.

After the welcome ceremony, President Quang held talks with Party General Secretary and President of China, Xi Jinping.

The Vietnamese State leader asked the two sides to stringently implement the common perceptions and reached agreements and commitments, in particular the agreement on the basic principles guiding the settlement of issues at sea; soundly manage the dispute and not take any action to complicate and expand the dispute.

The two State leaders witnessed the signing of five cooperation documents.

 At a meeting with the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Vice Chairman Wang Jiarui, President Quang said the Vietnamese Party and Government highly evaluate the ties formed between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the CPPCC.
