Hungary backs Vietnam’s comprehensive cooperation with EU
VOV.VN -Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Hende Csaba has affirmed that the Hungarian National Assembly supports Vietnam’s all-around cooperation with the European Union (EU).
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Hende Csaba in Budapest on September 10, during which both sides consented to offer favourable conditions for the two legislative bodies to boost high-level delegation exchange as well as exchanges between parliamentary agencies and friendship parliamentarians’ groups to share experience in law-making, supervision, and personnel training.
They pledged to beef up collaboration between the two countries’ localities and provide all possible support to their friendship parliamentarians’ groups to effectively perform their role in developing ties between the two law-making bodies.
With regard to the importance of economic, trade and investment cooperation, the two sides agreed to further augment cooperation on a par with their sound political and cultural ties.
The Hungarian parliamentary leader pledged to accelerate the NA’s early ratification of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) after it is signed, thus creating new momentum for economic cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary and other EU nations.
