Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, LEMHANNAS expand high-level education ties
VOV.VN - President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairman of the Central Theory Council Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang on November 11 had a working session with a high-level delegation from the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANNAS) of Indonesia, led by LEMHANNAS Chairman Dr. Ace Hasan Syadzily.
During the meeting, Director Nguyen Xuan Thang highlighted the significance of the visit by the Indonesian delegation as both nations mark 80 years of national independence and 70 years of diplomatic relations in 2025.
He emphasized that the visit provides an opportunity to reinforce the newly established comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Thang introduced the Academy’s role in training and developing key officials for both central and local administrations, a function comparable to LEMHANNAS.
In response, Chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily said the purpose of the visit is to exchange views and learn from Vietnam’s experience in transforming its education system to help develop high-quality human resources for Indonesia’s national development goals through 2045.
He explained that LEMHANNAS, a national-level strategic training institution under the President of Indonesia, prepares future leaders with a comprehensive, integrated, and professional vision. Its participants include senior military officers, police officials, government administrators, and business leaders. Ace Hasan Syadzily also expressed Indonesia’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in training and developing high-quality human resources.
Thang briefed the delegation on Vietnam’s preparations for the 14th Party Congress, including strategic decisions for the new development period. These decisions emphasize building a modern national education system on par with regional and international standards, supporting digital and green transformation, and improving the structure and quality of human resources. He underlined the Party’s policy for an open, modern, and connected education system, measured by learning outcomes, and stressed the focus on higher education aligning workforce development with science and technology.
To operationalize bilateral cooperation, both sides agreed to have their international cooperation offices develop a priority framework and prepare a memorandum of understanding (MOU) covering training, research, policy dialogue, expert exchanges, and publication sharing.
Chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily affirmed Indonesia’s agreement and called for more concrete cooperation, including student exchanges, policy research, and working visits, to deepen understanding of public administration, foreign policy planning, and regional security management.
Following the meeting, the two academies held a seminar to discuss Vietnam’s education system transformation and exchange experience, policies, and cooperative models in training and developing high-quality human resources to support long-term development goals through 2045.
