Ho Chi Minh City ramps up cooperation with Hungary

VOV.VN - Phan Van Mai, chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, held a meeting on April 5 with Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Baloghdi Tibor.

As part of his address during the meeting, the municipal leader affirmed the southern metropolis’s role and keen desire to contribute to further boosting ties between the two nations.

He therefore expressed his belief that the diplomat will act as a bridge in which to help Hungarian enterprises come to the country and seek co-operation opportunities in potential areas such as trade, health, and education, as well as cultural exchanges.

Mai said that with existing potential and strength, the southern city stands ready to connect Hungary to southern localities under the European country’s collaboration expansion plan.

Ho Chi Minh City will continue to work alongside the Consulate General of Hungary in the southern metropolis as part of activities towards the celebration of the 75th anniversary of friendship between both sides.

In response, the Ambassador pledged his best efforts during his tenure to help both nations' businesses seek investment opportunities, while expressing his belief in the sound development of the two countries’ relations across multiple fields.
