HCM City wishes for broader cooperation with Russian localities

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City aspires to continue stepping up cooperation with Russia by intensifying delegation and locality-to-locality exchange, said Permanent Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang while receiving deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Andrei Platonov on July 26.

Quang highlighted the visit as it comes at a time when Vietnam – Russia, Russia – Vietnam Year 2019-2020 is underway. 

He expressed his city’s desire to foster friendship activities between the two countries’ young people during Saint Petersburg Days in the metropolis area slated for October. 

Platonov, in turn, affirmed the Russian people’s wish to further boost friendship and partnership with Vietnam while adding that the Vietnam – Russia Youth Forum in Vietnam and Russia – Vietnam Youth Forum set for September in Moscow and Saint Petersburg will contribute to further strengthening exchange between the two countries’ youth as well as between Vietnamese and Russian localities.
